San Diego Government Jobs Continue to Decline

More San Diego government jobs (Click here) were lost last month.

During July, California’s unemployment rate remained at 12.3 percent for the second consecutive month, which is higher than the national average of 9.5 percent. The San Diego area had a rate of 10.5 percent during June.

The San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos area had a total non-farm employment of 1,212,900 workers during July, which is down from 1,226,000 workers during June and a .3 decrease from last year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

San Diego Nurse Jobs Training At SDSU

Anyone considering San Diego nurse jobs should look into getting an education at San Diego State University.

The healthcare industry is one of the few that has managed to thrive, despite the economic recession. In addition, nursing specifically is still considered one of the most in-demand occupations. However, it’s important to obtain the proper education and training before applying for a nurse job.

The San Diego State University School of Nursing at the College of Health & Human Services has been ranked among the top 100 nursing schools in the country. The school offers three degrees, including one bachelor degree and two masters degrees.
