Phoenix Nurse Jobs See Biggest Yearly Growth

During July, Arizona’s unemployment rate remained at 9.6 percent for the third consecutive month, which is only slightly higher than the national average of 9.5 percent. The Phoenix area’s July rate has yet to be released, but the area had a 9 percent unemployment rate during June.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Phoenix-Mesa-Glendale area had a total non-farm employment of 1,665,600 workers during July, which is down from 1,677,600 workers during June and the same as last year.

Milwaukee Nursing Jobs Get New Degree Options

Herzing University Online recently announced that it will soon offer two Master of Science in Nursing degree programs and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. All three degree programs are meant to help talented nurses gain advanced degrees and fill important roles in the healthcare industry.

Nevada Nursing Jobs Should Come Easy for UNLV Students

Students at one local school should be well-prepared for Nevada nursing jobs.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Nursing recently announced that 100 percent of its students passed the National Certification Licensure Examination during Q4 2009.

“The licensure exam is an important way to evaluate how effectively we’re preparing our students to enter the nursing workforce,” Dean Carolyn Yucha told The Rebel Yell. “We’re pleased that a record number of our students are graduating at a high level and are ready to meet the evolving healthcare needs of Nevadans.”
