According to a company press release, MHF Logistical Solutions Trucking & Drayage Division, an owner-operator network offering drayage and trucking services, has opened a terminal in Chicago, Illinois. The terminal is strategically located to local highways and surrounding rail terminals.
Tom Piatak, President and Chief Executive Officer of MHF Holdings Company, the parent company of MHF Trucking & Drayage, said, “We are very excited about the opening of the Chicago terminal and look forward to working with the local community to create Chicago jobs and rapidly expand the business. Chicago is a key Midwest logistics hub, and it makes good economic sense to open a terminal in this logistics community.”
Said MHF Trucking & Drayage Executive Vice President Michael N. Parrotta, “The Chicago, IL terminal is one of several we are opening in order to establish a local presence for our customers in various regions of the country.” The Chicago terminal is the third opened by MHF Trucking & Drayage this year; others are located in Jacksonville, Florida and North Bergen, New Jersey. Additional terminals are planned for Worcester, Massachusetts; Atlanta, Georgia; and Southern California.
MHF Trucking & Drayage’s services range from local pick-ups and deliveries to highway services including over-the-road, regional, premium and door-to-door. All services are supported by an operations and customer support center providing local dispatch, customer interface and management. The center uses the Trinium Transportation Management System to manage the entire intermodal process from order through fulfillment.
What a good piece of news. Jobs have been declining for months now. It is refreshing to read about a company that actually created jobs during this time. The economy needs many many more jobs!
