Competition Hot for Washington, DC Summer Jobs

Finding a Washington DC job maybe more difficult for students this summer due to increased competition. Many adults who are out of work and struggling to find a new position have begun to look in to working for companies that traditionally provided teens and college students with employment.

For many of these individuals the idea is to simply find a job, any job, to hold them over till something more promising in their chosen field becomes available. After all, a job flipping burgers is better than no job at all. Still, with adults encroaching on DC jobs that typically belonged to the younger crowd, many students are finding it increasingly difficult to find work.

Healthcare Jobs in Cleveland

A career in healthcare may be the way to go for those seeking jobs in Cleveland. While the city has one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation, it is home to some of the best healthcare sites, many who are struggling to fill positions needing qualified applicants for their jobs in healthcare.

According to the City of Cleveland, hospitals and related healthcare facilities are among the largest employers in northeast Ohio. Healthcare jobs employ more than 70,000 workers and pay more than $3.6 billion in wages and benefits. The city projects that 26.7 percent of job growth in the region over the next 10 years will be in healthcare occupations.
